Our neurodiversity-affirming holistic approach respects individual differences while providing the structure, consistency, and specialist support that enables people with autism to thrive. Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) If clients also exhibit behaviours of concern, posing risk to their own safety or the wellbeing of those around them, then we will support their behavioural needs with our PBS approach. Understanding the triggers for these behaviours and what an individual is trying to communicate is vital to us, which in turn improves our clients’ quality of life. We follow Bild’s PBS schedules and updated literature, policy and response methods with a focus on reducing restriction. OUR PBS APPROACH What Sets our Autism Support Apart?  Neurodiversity Affirming Practice We respect and support our clients’ values, feelings, and interests through tailored PBS plans that are regularly reviewed. Our focus goes beyond reducing behaviours to enhancing each client’s overall quality of life and helping them achieve their goals. Compassionate & Consistent Care With a consistent 24/7 routine and minimum 6-hour shifts, we promote stability and reduce distress. Our team creates sensory-friendly, personalised environments and uses accessible communication methods to ensure every client’s needs and voice are fully supported. Transparency & Collaboration Using iplanit, our digital care planning platform, we provide real-time, goal-focused care plans accessible to families and multidisciplinary teams. Each client’s goals are linked to CQC quality statements and updated as progress is made, ensuring a transparent and evidenced record of outcomes. Clients and their support networks can also share feedback anonymously through our digital improvement tool, moa, ensuring transparency and continuous improvement. Contact Us Empowering People with Autism Here at Amore Complex Care, we use a person-centred approach to supporting individuals with autism. Our approach considers: Environment Create a secure environment so clients feel safe and comfortable, whilst focusing on factors like noise and lighting. Communication We adapt our communication approach to suit the client, ensuring their voice is heard. We can use communication aids if needed and we keep our own language clear and positive. Transitions When clients experience change, we support them throughout the process and with any resulting distress. We do this through social stories to prepare them and visual supports to help clients manage their day. Autonomy We encourage clients to make supported choices, helping to build their independence, life skills, and help shape their own support. Connection Positive relationships are importing for boosting wellbeing – which is why we encourage clients to strengthen existing relationships, build new connections, all while building a bond between Support Workers and the individual. Community Community integration is an important aspect of the support we provide – helping clients to participate in social activities, enjoy their favourite hobbies and explore new interests. Expert-Led Training Each of our Support Workers receive thorough training designed to support the needs of the client in their care. This can include PBS training, led by our PBS Specialist, along with Oliver McGowan Learning Disability and Autism training. Clients’ families are also invited to engage in PBS training to allow consistency and involvement – enhancing their understanding of their loved one’s needs. For individuals who also have clinical support requirements, they can be reassured they are in safe hands. The Support Workers and Registered Nurses who will support them, will receive tailored nurse-led training, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to provide high-quality clinical care. This may include support with epilepsy, wounds, respiratory conditions, medication administration and gastronomy feeding.  LEARN MORE Conditions we Support At Amore Complex Care, we provide support for a broad range of behavioural and clinical needs.
