Skilled Support Workers, we have an exciting opportunity for you to step up and help support a lady in her thirties who requires support, including urostomy care, advanced mental health support and wound care. As a self-confessed night owl, our client typically heads to bed between 11pm and 1am, so some support may be needed during the night. This could include offering drinks, helping with repositioning, or simply providing a bit of emotional support and company. While he is nonverbal, our client can communicate via his eye movement This role involves providing tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, and movement via a hoist, as our client has paralysis on his left side. My Support Requirements I have an acquired brain injury and am nonverbal, communicating with eye movement. At times, I can have seizures and I regularly need tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, and movement via a hoist, as I have paralysis on his left side. Training That Embeds Inclusive Practice All staff undertake Equality, Diversity and Inclusion training as part of their mandatory induction training.
