Home > About Us > Supporting Advocates Supporting Advocates Our Partnership with Statutory Advocates  We understand your legal duties under the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005, and we’re committed to making your important work straightforward.   Whether you’re a Care Act Advocate, Independent Mental Capacity Advocate (IMCA), or supporting someone through safeguarding, we provide the access and documentation you need to fulfil your statutory obligations with confidence.  Our person-centred approach ensures clients’ voices remain central to all complex care decisions, with clear audit trails demonstrating their involvement at every stage. Every care plan is created in co-production with the individual, their support network, and our multidisciplinary team.   GET IN TOUCH Facilitating Independent Advocacy Full Access to Clear Decision-Making Documentation We facilitate IMCAs’ statutory right to access health and social care records under the Mental Capacity Act 2005.  Early Involvement from First Contact  No barriers to your involvement – we actively support Advocate referrals from the assessment stage onwards. Continuous Improvement We support an open reporting culture, fully cooperating with Section 42 Enquiries and Section 68 Safeguarding Adult Reviews under the Care Act 2014. OUR SERVICES Best Interest Consultations and Least Restrictive Approach All best interest decisions include documented consultation with Advocates, evidencing that the person’s wishes, feelings and values were considered. MCA capacity assessments are conducted for every significant decision, taking the least restrictive approach demonstrated in all care planning and risk management.  Proactive identification when living arrangements may amount to deprivation of liberty. Appropriate Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) authorisation is sought from the local authority with IMCA involvement. We regularly review restrictions, if needed, with the aim to reduce these over time.  Positive Behavioural Support is a set of approaches we use to improve our service users’ quality of life with the least restriction possible, maintaining person-centred care.  ENQUIRE NOW Providing Person-centred Support At Amore Complex Care, we support adults and children with complex care needs in the comfort of their own homes.
