Driving licence preferred The Difference Between Complex Care and Domiciliary Care Many Care Assistants join us from traditional domiciliary care or residential care homes looking for a better way to work. Standard domiciliary care focuses primarily on basic everyday living tasks, such as meal preparation, washing, and dressing across a long list of addresses. This often leaves care workers spending more time traveling between houses than actually supporting people. Our complex care support is entirely different. It bridges the gap between clinical excellence and behavioural expertise. As an Amore Complex Care Support Worker you will be assigned to a specific individual, working within their own home. Your day will balance clinical and/or behavioural support with warmth, helping our clients build confidence, maximize their independence, and live fulfilling lives. Your Role and Responsibilities Every individual we support has a highly unique, personalised care plan, developed alongside their family, Case Managers, and our multidisciplinary team. Depending on the specific support package you are matched with, your day-to-day responsibilities may include: Clinical Health Support Assisting with specialised health requirements, which may include managing feeding tubes, stomas, catheter care, tracheostomy care, or respiratory equipment under the oversight of our Registered Nurses. Behavioural & Emotional Guidance Providing structured, routine-focused support for individuals with autism, learning disabilities, or mental health needs, utilising positive reinforcement strategies. Promoting Independence Helping clients access their local community, engaging in hobbies, managing daily schedules, and encouraging meaningful routines. Daily Living Assistance Supporting mobility, communication, medication administration, and personal care, while always maintaining the client’s dignity and choices. Who We Are Looking For We welcome applicants from various professional backgrounds. While prior experience as a Complex Care Support Worker is highly valued, individuals working as Care Assistants, Healthcare Assistants or Personal Assistants also bring relevant experience. However, experience isn’t essential as it is your core values that matter most to us. We look for individuals who are reliable, naturally empathetic, excellent communicators, and deeply committed to improving the quality of life for others. If you have the right mindset, our comprehensive training programme will give you all the practical skills and confidence you need to excel. Most of our roles require a full UK driving licence as the individual you support, may need help getting out and about locally and across the wider region. We are also unable to offer visa sponsorship. Applicants must already have valid permission to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship from Amore Complex Care. For those who have lived outside of the UK within the last 5 years will be required to provide an overseas police check dated within the last 3 months. Shadowing Shifts Before working independently, you will complete paid shadow shifts alongside an experienced staff member to get to know your specific client, their routines, and their preferences. Clinical Training You will have access to specialist clinical skills, training and nationally recognised qualifications, including NVQ Level 3 and 5 in Health and Social Care. Career Development We actively encourage internal promotion, offering clear routes into managerial positions, including Home Manager roles, Team Leaders and Case Officers. Advanced Clinical Competencies Learn specialised skills directly from our Nurses and Trainers, receiving official sign-offs on clinical tasks to safely expand your professional portfolio.
