I am a sociable lady in my 50s with a great sense of humour who enjoys spending time with the people around me. I live with my sister, who is a very important part of my life, and I love trips to the caravan in Rhyl. I have Down syndrome, a moderate learning disability, and a tracheostomy. Once I get to know and trust people, I am very affectionate and enjoy building positive relationships with those who support me. Who do I get along with? I get along best with people who are friendly, patient, and have good communication skills. It’s important to me that my support workers take the time to get to know me, build trust, and understand my needs. Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and confidence in delivering clinical care is a real bonus. I also love a good laugh, so if you’re happy to chat, have some fun, and maybe even watch a bit of Judge Rinder with me, we’ll get along just fine! Once I feel comfortable with someone, I can be very affectionate and enjoy building strong, positive relationships. What activities do I enjoy? I enjoy attending my day centre during the week, spending time with my sister, and taking trips to the caravan in Rhyl. I’m a sociable person who likes being around others, and one of my favourite ways to relax is watching Judge Rinder. I enjoy a good laugh and making the most of my day with people I know and trust.
