I use a wheelchair full-time and require support with all aspects of my daily care, mobility, and health needs. Although I’m non-verbal, I love being around people and being included in conversations and activities. I enjoy one-to-one time with staff who chat to me, engage with me, and help me feel involved. I express myself through my facial expressions, sounds, and reactions, so it’s important that these are recognised and responded to, helping me feel understood, valued, and connected. What are my aspirations? My aspiration is to live a safe, comfortable, and fulfilling life where my health needs are well supported and I have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the things that make me happy.
