What I love most about my role is service improvement, and the fact that I can make a difference to not just our staff teams, but the clients that we support. How has your career developed with us? My experience of Amore Complex Care has been extremely positive, both from a personal development point of view and a career progression point of view. I’m currently doing the level seven apprenticeship, which is still in progress and whilst in here, I’ve really been able to develop my skills with developing new quality assurance systems and government management systems for all of Amore Complex Care. How would you describe your job in one word? I would describe my role as impactful. My role really focuses on how we can improve our service and how we can make meaningful improvements every day to our clients’ lives. What would you tell someone thinking about joining us? A piece of advice I’d give to someone who was wanting to join Amore Complex Care would be to bring the right values. We really want people who are willing to learn and develop and really got the care and support of the individuals that we support at heart. Why did you want to be a part of Amore Complex Care? I was drawn to Amore Complex Care because of its values. I’m really Interested in person-centered care and I felt like this was an organisation that really had that at the heart of its delivery. People with good communication skills, who can help me with decision making and direction, without being demanding. Where do I live and what is my house like? I live in Clayton-le-Woods near Preston and Leyland. I have a lovely house with a big garden and lots of space for activities and a sensory room. My team How many people support me at one time? I am supported by 3 staff at a time. My staff don’t physically intervene but may need to de-escalate and redirect me. What are my team trained in? My staff will get a bespoke training course specifically to cover my needs. SHIFTS – FULLT TIME Long day sleeps 09:00 -23:00 Sleep shift 09:00 Job responsibilities Assisting with Autism through goal-oriented activities and daily living skills. Monitor the service users physical and emotional well-being. Assisting with personal care. Supporting with sensory needs. Provide person-centred support.
